Game tactics
Handycap up to -26
- The round begins quite relaxed. With the tee shot (driver or wood 3) you should aim to the right of the pond. The water hazard begins in about 225m or 190m.
- The 2nd shot with a medium iron requires precision. Sufficient height and length is required to play the green over the row of trees.
- The green falls from the back to the front and on the right side to the right
Handycap from -27
- The round begins quite relaxed. The tee shot should be made in the direction of the pond in the middle of the fairway.
- The 2nd shot should be hit with a medium iron in the direction of the bend. The distance should be chosen so that the 3rd shot can be hit over the tree line.
- If the distance is too close to the bend, a flat shot under the trees can be used.
- The green falls from the back to the front and on the right side to the right

- Tee off with the driver or wood 3. Two bunkers lurk on the left side of the fairway at approx. 205m and 160m respectively.
- Play the green high with the 2nd shot, a medium-length iron. It is well defended by three bunkers
- The green is quite level, only at the back left there is a steep slope from left to right in front.
Handycap from -27
- Aim the tee shot towards the bunker in the middle of the fairway. With the 2nd shot you put the ball forward in the direction of the frontal green bunker
- A pitch as the 3rd shot on the green and the bogey is almost certain
- The green is quite level, only back left strong slope from left to right front

- In about 160m there is an impressive oak tree in the middle of the fairway. Either one dares and hits with the H1 over the tree or one chooses a flat variant, which lets the ball roll under the tree. For the ladies, the tree only plays a role in a warped tee shot.
- On the 2nd shot, you should try to play to the right of or behind the fairway bunkers with a fairway wood. But be careful: left is out, right is threatened by trees and rough.
- With the 3rd shot the green can be attacked. But here, too, misses are punished. Left of the green lurks an unpleasant bunker, in front of the green a pond.
- The green is little ondulated, but consists of two levels. Especially the higher one on the right side of the green is difficult to play.
Handycap from -27
- There are really no dangers with a normal drive down the middle of the fairway. There is plenty of space
- The 2nd shot should be laid down in front of the fairway bunkers. The men would have to play flat under the oak tree
- The 3rd shot should be aimed towards the pond in front of the green. It starts about 40m from the beginning of the green
- The green can then be attacked with the 4th shot.
- The green is not very undulated, but consists of two levels. Especially the higher one on the right side of the green is difficult to play.

- This par 3 features, above all, a well-defended green. Three bunkers require a long and straight tee shot
- The green is on two levels and slopes from the higher level in the back to the front and on the right third to the right
Handycap from -27
- It is important here not to take note of the existence of the frontal water hazard. To play over it, a tee shot with a pure trajectory of at least 100m or 87m is required
- If there is a lack of length, the right side of the fairway should be approached, because there is a fairway bunker behind the pond at a distance of approx. 120m or 105m from the tee shot
- The shot to the green should be as high as possible to take the bunkers out of play
- The green is on two levels and slopes from the higher level at the back to the front and on the right third to the right

- The positioning of the drive is of particular importance on this course. Option 1 is to place the ball to the right of the fairway bunker at just under 200m or 160m.
- Then, however, the right, mighty deep green bunker must be overcome when hitting the green.
- The 2nd option is for long hitters: simply carry (approx. 200m or 160m) over the bunker to the left side of the fairway. This option makes the greenshot shorter and leaves the right greenside bunker out of play.
- The green consists of two levels. It slopes forward from the rear higher plateau
Handycap from -27
- Also on this fairway, the ditch running across the fairway at approx. 110m or 70m should be ignored. A straight tee shot on a sufficiently wide fairway in the direction of the fairway bunker makes sense.
- The 2nd shot should be in front of the entrance corridor between the two green bunkers.
- This is followed by a chip or pitch
- The green consists of two levels. It slopes forward from the rear higher plateau

- If you want to attack the green with the 2nd shot, the tee shot is of particular importance. The drive should be long and come to rest on the right side of the fairway.
- Under these conditions, only a middle iron is needed to reach the green.
- The green is somewhat ondulated. However, a flag position on the back left poses a special challenge, as there are water hazards both in front on the left and behind the green
Handycap from -27
- Aim for the middle of the fairway on the tee shot - because there is no shortage of space.
- The second shot requires a little more courage and precision, because it should go through the gap in the trees and over the ditch
- On the 3rd shot, aim for the right side of the green. This takes the left water hazard out of play
- The green is somewhat ondulated. However, a flag position to the back left presents a particular challenge, as there are water hazards both to the front left and behind the green

- A short par 5. a birdie hole? Watch out! If you want to reach the green with the 2nd shot, you must have a long and precise tee shot. It should come to rest on the right between the pond - it begins at a distance of approx. 210m or 140m - and the wood.
- The shot into the green is not easy. The ball has to be hit over the trees or between the trees in the direction of the green.
- Less exciting is certainly the simple game variant: tee off straight ahead in the direction of the right side pond (start in approx. 210m or 140m).
- 2nd shot: Either with a fairway wood over the row of trees or lay off to the right between the right-hand oaks
- The green shot is then relatively easy
- The green is very deep (37m in total). It is relatively level, but also consists of two levels. The higher one makes up the back quarter of the green. Behind the green is a ditch on the left, otherwise rough.
Handycap from -27
- Again, a track that features ponds and old trees. Here, tranquility is the order of the day. Simply hit the tee shot in the direction of the pond
- Then place the 2nd shot right in front of the pond
- With the 3rd shot you should hit right between the two oaks. For the green shot now only a short or medium iron remains

- Still no relaxation is announced, because now comes a par 3, which is very well defended. The tee shot to the middle of the green should already fly at least 180m or 160m and be straight. Left in front of the green in about 145m or 124m a pond attracts, which extends to the beginning of the green.
- The green, additionally framed by two side bunkers, falls from the back plateau still in front. With a depth of 28m it is not easy to putt.
Handycap from -27
- Here, too, you are good for at least one stroke. So why get careless. So place the tee shot right in front of the pond without any risk
- The 2nd shot is then only a short pitch or a chip into the green
- Two putts and the target is reached, but the green is not easy to putt with a depth of 28m

- The aisle through the trees from the back tee looks a little intimidating. But don't be afraid! The tee shot should be placed at about 200 meters to the left of the bunker
- The 2nd shot is then another mid iron from a good 150 meters
- But be careful! The green stretches over 28m, is defended by two bunkers and is quite ondulated
Handycap from -27
- On this fairway, the look of the tree aisle in particular is somewhat intimidating. The tee shot should be hit in the direction of the left side of the fairway.
- With the 2nd shot, the distance to the green is shortened to about 100 meters. If this is successful, then the shot into the green should not be a problem.

- Already the tee shot decides about success or failure. It should be placed between the left water hazard (beginning at approx. 140 or 70m) and the bend on the right side (beginning at approx. 210 or 130m). A position in the water hazard or behind the kink usually leads to a stroke loss.
- The 2nd shot should be played straight down the fairway towards the green. However, long hitters should take into account that a fairway bunker lurks 120m from the start of the green.
- The green, again 28m deep, is protected by two bunkers at the front left and front right. It is quite level
Handycap from -27
- The tee shot should come to rest on the left side of the fairway
- Then you have the possibility to transport the 2nd shot without problems past the bend towards the green
- For the 3rd shot the fairway bunker (see left) should be included in the planning
- The shot into the green should be as high as possible. Then you avoid a confrontation with the two bunkers

- At first glance, this course looks very narrow. To the left is out, to the right is first deep rough, then a copse. A bold and straight tee shot directly over the bunker (it extends from about 170 or 130 to about 190 or 150m from the tee) finds a wide landing zone. A too strong and long draw is endangered by the pond on the left side of the fairway. It begins in approx. 240 or 200m.
- The shot into the green with a short iron is problem-free with a successful tee shot
- The green is 24m deep and slopes gently from back to front
Handycap from -27
- The course is wider than it appears, so a straight tee shot towards the bunker should be the goal.
- The 2nd shot goes in the direction of the passage to the green. The shot to the green is then only a formality
- The green is 24 m deep and falls gently from back to front

- Here you have two options: Either you hit the tee shot carry over the ditch - a trajectory of at least 195m or 145m is then required - or you lay up with a longer iron or a fairway wood.
- If you choose the second option, however, you will be left with a not-so-easy shot into the green. It is very well protected by a long frontal bunker and the out boundary left and back. Easier is the greenshot with option 1, but then you take a more or less high risk with the drive
- The green slopes gently forward from the side and back edges
Handycap from -27
- Don't take too much risk. Just place the tee shot in the middle of the fairway. There is plenty of room
- With the 2nd shot you should be between the ditch and the greenside bunker. There should then be no problems with the shot to the green

- Mastering this course requires hard work. Even the tee shot requires length and straightness. On the left lurks the out-of-bounds, on the right is a ditch that flows into a pond at driveline length.
- The 2nd shot should be hit between the two side fairway mounds. If this is successful, the shot can be made to the green.
- Please keep in mind on all shots: There is usually a headwind and the course is uphill. One more club should at least be considered
- The green is easy to hit because of its size (depth 34m), but it falls quite heavily from back to front. A ball position below the flag saves some frustration
Handycap from -27
- In front of you is a wide fairway. So choose your longest club and a correspondingly long and straight tee shot.
- The 2nd shot is a pure transport shot. Try to stay in the middle of the fairway. On the 3rd shot you should be aware that there is a fairway bunker 50m from the start of the green. It should be left to the left
- With the 4th shot you could try to attack the flag. But note the remarks about the green in the left column

- Now you are standing at the tee of the shortest par 5 hole of the Pinnau, a 431m resp. 386m long dogleg to the left. The aim of the tee shot should be a position to the right of the group of trees in approx. 210 or 160m.
- The next shot requires a precise stroke with a medium to short iron to place the ball about 80m in front of the green
- The short third shot decides your chance for par or birdie. If your execution is poor, the three greenside bunkers to the left and right of the green may come into play.
- Here, too, you will encounter a deep green. It falls gently ondulated from the back right to the front
Handycap from -27
- This short par 5 hole with a dogleg to the left should be played with patience. The tee shot should first be placed in the middle fair
- With the 2nd shot you should have passed the dogleg. The third shot should ideally take you about 50 m in front of the green, from where you can expect an open approach to the flag.

- The signature hole on the B course is reached. It requires the highest concentration. The island location in connection with the wind sensitivity makes extensive preliminary considerations sensible
- The shot into the green should be at least approx. 120 or 100m long. If it then also flies straight into the middle of the green, the main task is mastered.
- The green is 32m deep and falls from behind to the front. It is especially treacherous because of the front green, which slopes steeply to the right and left towards the water hazard. A ball hitting this area usually goes into the water. But also behind the green is in about 160 or, 140 water.
Handycap from -27

- You dare to attack the green directly (see distances on the left), or you continue to play in a controlled manner, i.e. you lay up with a short iron (the water hazard begins in approx. 90 or 70m).
